To help plan and manage your time within the Exhibit Hall of the Phoenix Convention Center, Sunday, June 13 through Tuesday, June 15, we are introducing a new on-line tool, YOU ARE HERE --- an Interactive Exhibit Hall Map with exhibitor promotion, an alphabetical and market category Exhibitor Directory and the Educational Session Resource – new Conference features to help discover, connect, and familiarize yourself with exhibitors and educational opportunities before, during and after this Joint Conference. The readily-accessible information is easy to use and is a great resource for session room locations and featured exhibiting companies within the Exhibit Hall.

Attire
Business casual attire is required for all Conference events.
Banking Hours
Banks are normally open between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Some of the larger banks are also open on Saturday mornings. Cash machines are easily found and are available in most hotels.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
All cancellation requests must be made in writing, either emailed to Brooke Bilofsky at bbilofsky@ahint.com or mailed to the WOCN National Office. A $75 processing fee will be charged for all cancellations postmarked on or before May 14, 2010. After May 14, 2010, refund requests cannot be honored. All refunds will be issued after the Conference.
The Joint Conference reserves the right to substitute faculty or reschedule sessions.
Climate
Phoenix enjoys an average temperature in June of around 88 degrees (31 Celsius) with a low percentage of humidity. The sun shines more than 300 days a year in Phoenix.
Sweaters and jackets may be necessary while attending the Conference as the Convention Center and Hotels are air conditioned.

Currency and Credit Cards
It is advisable for visitors to carry U.S. cash or dollar denomination traveler’s checques when traveling in the United States. It is easy to exchange foreign currency in major cities. Credit and charge cards (American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard) are widely accepted. Most major banks and American Express offices will exchange foreign currency.
Electricity
110 volts AC, 60 Hz. Flat two-pin plugs with or without third round pin are used.
Ground Transportation Options
From Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to downtown Phoenix
Taxis
Taxis are available at the airport. Approximate fare from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to downtown is $40. In normal traffic conditions the trip takes approximately 15 minutes.
Super Shuttle
Shuttle service is available every 15 minutes between Sky Harbor International Airport and the downtown area. Van terminal access is as follows: Terminal 2: North curbside, Terminal 3: North and south curbside and Terminal 4: Level 1, north and south curbside.

METRO Light Rail Sky Harbor Connection
To take light rail to and from the Airport, catch the free PHX Airport Shuttle that runs between each terminal and the 44th Street and Washington METRO light rail station. The silver and black PHX Airport Shuttle buses are designed specifically for travelers by having luggage areas and running the same schedule as the light rail seven days a week.
The Metro is also available to get around downtown while in Phoenix.

Language
English is the official language for the Conference. Translation will be available for the General Sessions based on the need. Please indicate this on your registration form. As per the guidelines translation for the General Sessions will be provided if there are 100 or more attendees registered for the conference who speak the same language.
Passports, Visas and Letters of Invitation
All visitors to the United States must have a valid passport. Please go to http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html for the official source of information about U.S. visa policy and procedures. We also recommend you check the validity of your passport for entering the USA.
If you register via Fax and require an official letter of invitation, please email Brooke Bilofsky, Registration Manager at bbilofsky@ahint.com. When registering on line a letter of invitation will be provided at the end of the process.
NOTE: As of June 26, 2005, all persons traveling under the Visa Waiver Program must present a machine-readable passport for visa-free travel to the USA. People with immediate travel plans who are unable to obtain a machine-readable passport in time may apply for a U.S. visa at a U.S. consulate or embassy abroad.
Photography
Please DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS during any of the scientific sessions. Persons observed taking photos during the scientific sessions will be asked to leave the session. Photos may be taken during the Opening Session – Parade of Countries.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited inside the Phoenix Convention Center and all hotels. All buildings are 100% non-smoking. Most restaurants and bars are smoke free as well.
Time
Phoenix is 7 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Phoenix does not observe day light savings time, Mountain Time is observed all year.
Tipping
Tipping is customary in the US. Below are guidelines:
Meals: Gratuity tips are not included in the bill, so it is usual to tip 15%-20% of the bill for meals served in hotels or restaurants.
Taxi: Taxi drivers are generally tipped 15%.
Lodging: Porters in hotels are usually tipped $1.00 USD per piece of luggage.
Airport: Porters at airports are usually tipped $1.00 USD per piece of luggage.
Travel Insurance
A travel insurance policy to cover theft, loss and medical problems is recommended. The Joint Conference organizations will not be liable for illness, accidents or thefts suffered by participants or accompany persons during the Conference or their stay in the United States before or after the Conference.
